Used Bird 43 meters are shipped  in either a original bird box or a, form fitting, cushion made with instapak quick foam in bags ‡ (in the US).   I use a dummy meter to form the foam so YOUR meter never sees the pressure or heat. Also included with every 43 are a dummy slug to protect the pointer (an active element is required for operation). Meters require elements.  The manual can be viewed and printed here http://www.bird-electronic.com/products/pdfs/opmanual/43.pdf  .  New meters are shipped in the bird box unless noted.  ‡ All meters ordered with a case are shipped it the case. I pack very well please check my ebay feedback ID = ka3art5.

I will swap QC connectors to what you need.  You must ask prior to shipping.

They are used to keep foreign items out of the line section and most importantly to short the meter movement when not in use.
