New SNAP-AROUND Chokes
These can be closed and opened several times
without damage.
They have a separate flap for attachment
with a tie wrap or tape. So you do not have to tape around the large choke then
the coax. One or two turns, of tape, over the flap and around the coax and
you are done.
Small Choke
This fits over RG58 and 8X easily and will slide on those size
cables for easy placement after closing. They have a separate flap
for attachment with a tie wrap or tape. So you do not have to tape around the
large choke then the coax. One or two turns, of tape, over the flap and
around the coax and you are done.
Although not recommended for this
size coax, Personally I use these on my 9913
jumpers in my shack. It stretches to snap around and will not move. If
these are put on an RG8 sized cable that will move they will damage the cable or
fall off.

LARGE choke
This fits around any of the commonly used cables and will
slide for easy placement. I also use them for headphone and power supply
cable chokes. Several turns (wraps) of the wires can be made prior to
closing. It shortens the cords to the needed length and works as a RF
block at the same time. If you need to lengthen the cables later, you can open
the choke unwrap a few turns and close it again.
I
personally use these on my headphone cables, I no longer get the hash in my ears
while transmitting with my amp. As well any AC or DC power cord I need to
shorten and all my moving larger coax cables. If it is outside these
go on it because it is going to flex and move with the sun and wind. On small or
large coax it fits and attaches to the rear of a standard PL259 connector, shown
in photo below.
